I’ve been using Firefox for quite some time now, but have never taken the time to look at the extensions & themes. I got the download status bar add-on that will:
“View and manage downloads from a tidy statusbar - without the download window getting in the way of your web browsing.
Despite its compact size, Download Statusbar packs in more useful features than the standard download window. The fully customizable interface auto-hides when not in use, allowing full control without interruption. “

Thanks to the ETG, excellent presentation/demo of this stuff. I made my son let me use his Runescape account to try out the virtual world there. I had to promise not to do anything to embarrass him while I was Cerff. I don’t think I did.

Signed up for Facebook - this thing could become addictive. Added my stepdaughter to my friends list (she’s a 3rd year student here @ Mac). I haven’t heard this much from her since she was 2.

I really appreciated this time to ask questions and get more help. The drop-in sessions were great because I was forced to sit for 1 hour at a time to try something new with the help of the ETG Group.

Tried del.icio.us & Flickr. Tagging is something I hope we can implement in Endeca in the future. The exLibris product, Primo, supports tagging.

to get a 2.0 MP3 player and I don’t have all my activities done. I’ve done:
- week 1 Intro, read the ETG blog
- week 2 Blogs, set up this blog - when I get time & think of it I like to read this blog: http://blogs.ala.org/pace.php
- week 3 RSS, subscribed to some RSS feeds on Google Reader - I was formerly part of the e-resource maintenance group, we had been doing this for years, to receive notification of new e-books for some of our subscriptions
- week 4 Wikis, added my list of favourite books to the Learning 2.0 @ Mac test wiki - wikis now seem to be the tool for collaborative projects, I use our Endeca wiki, the OCUL Verde wiki and the Evergreen wiki.
